FANTAISIE IN E-FLAT MAJOR – Camille Saint-Saëns

The Fantaisie in E-flat major (nicknamed the ‘Echo’) was Saint-Saëns’ first published organ work. It’s regularly featured on organ recital programmes and for good reason! I recently heard it locally at St. Matthew’s Albury, played by David Drury. At the time I was still learning it so it was good to hear his interpretation. I have been sitting on this piece for quite some time due to many concerts and performances in the 2nd half of last year taking priority. It has been good to finally spend some quality time with the piece and record it for you today. I hope you enjoy my performance recorded via Hauptwerk on the Billerbeck sample set by Sonus Paradisi.
