Fantasia in C minor, BWV 562 – Johann Sebastian Bach

Bach’s Fantasia in C minor, BWV 562 was composed during his time at Weimar and is coupled with a Fugue—but it is unfinished with only 27 bars written. The Fantasia is a very stately and sombre work which can be highlighted by the registration used. I opted for a mellow registration on just Principals 8’+4′. There are other renditions where a powerful plenum is used and is also quite effective. I hope you enjoy my performance on the Hauptwerk sample set of Alessandria (@Piotr Grabowski). I’ve left a link to the score below with the exact edition I use in case you’re interested.
