Meditation on Ukrainian Song “Moonlight Night”, Op. 85 – Vidas Pinkevicius

My friend, Vidas Pinkevicius (@Secrets of Organ Playing), wrote a beautiful meditation on a Ukrainian song which seems to be inspired by the Albinoni/Giazotto Adagio in G minor. Whilst terrible things have been happening in our world, Vidas has been using his multitude of musical skills by composing several organ works based on Ukrainian tunes. Many organists have been playing them already and incorporating the music in their services and regular playing. The score is available below (gratis). I recorded this on the Scots’ Church (Melbourne, Australia) sample set by Inspired Acoustics.
