Playing with a Twist on Nancy


Could this be Graham Twist’s most recorded piece? It was dedicated to Ralph Looij who is well-known on YouTube for his superb interpretations of Baroque and early music. As you will hear, this composition is essentially a trio—three independent parts and no where to hide. I did consider using ridiculous registrations (a massive reed in one part perhaps?), but I couldn’t bring myself to ruin this great piece of music.
