VIDI AQUAM AT THE EASTER VIGIL

Vidi Aquam is a Gregorian chant that has been sung for centuries, particularly during the Easter season. Translated literally, it reads “I saw water” in Latin, and is taken from the opening lines of Ezekiel 47:1-12, that describes a vision of a life-giving river flowing from the Temple in Jerusalem.

This is a live recording of the Vidi Aquam at the Easter Vigil at St Patrick’s Albury in 2023. Many thanks to Andrew Flores, Tony Lee and Benedict Wilson for their contributions to the Easter ceremonies.
