Virtual Vespers – 22 September 2021 | Organ, choir, prayers and readings

During the first Australian nationwide lockdown, a colleague started doing “Zoom Vespers” where I was involved in a couple of them. It’s such a beautiful and reverent prayerful service at the end of the day that I thought I would give this a go (virtually) myself. We’ve seen the success of Richard’s Organ Compline’s from Beauty in Sound (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JXbvBooDL8k), but given vespers is a daily activity, I’m sure one more virtual vespers service should be okay ????. The order of service is taken from Universalis (https://universalis.com/20210922/vespers.htm) with a few modifications. The sample set used for the organ pieces is the Scots’ Church Rieger organ, sampled by Inspired Acoustics. All material in this video is NEW so please sit back, relax and contemplate that you just completed another day.

If you’d like to contribute in some way to the next Virtual Vespers, please contact me via the email below.
