O Salutaris Hostia is a well-known Eucharistic hymn written by St. Thomas Aquinas for the Feast of Corpus Christi. The text has been set to music by many composers but not by Handel himself. Nevertheless, the nature and structure of Handel’s tune sits reverently under St. Thomas Aquinas’ text.
